Many children want to have a hamster, a guinea pig, a white mouse or a dwarf rabbit: the proof, in 2014, there were 2.8 million small domestic mammals like these, in France!

They look like little balls of hair that also crack parents, very often, but beware, they do not all have the same requirements and it is better to choose them taking into account your habitat, the age of the child and the care required by each of them, knowing that they are often quite fragile anyway.

Especially if this is your first experience, avoid choosing an exotic rodent, such as a ferret, a gerbil or a squirrel: these “new pets” are even less adapted to the life of a domestic animal.
